The Purpose of this brief was to design a concept for a swatch store that would enable the effective marketting and selling of the well known swiss watch maker.
Swatch Stores in general are full of different ranges that take up a large amount of merchandising area within a host building.
For this project we were given the plans to a two-storey host building comprising of a Ground floor and basement with an unlimited budget.
The concept I came up with was for a store that had a continuous rail that started at the entrance of the store, went round the store without a break, (except for hinges to allow access to store rooms and emergency exits) and finally end up back at the entrance to the store where Customers would then exit the store after their experience.
The rail allowed for display of watches along its length at a level that brough them to the customers level rather than being restricted behind glass or placed too high or low in the store.
